Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!
How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
Question:
What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?
Answer:
I know I will probably upset a lot of people with this answer, but I have to say the Twilight series. I read them all back to back within a week but after I finished, I was saying "What's all the hubbub about?" They are fun reads but I don't quite get all the Twilight Mania. But that's just me.
Haha, I picked Breaking Dawn! So, I'm not upset with you at all!! I liked the other three just not the last. At all.

My FF
I'm not a Twi-hard, but I did enjoy the series while reading it. :D Old Follower. My FFs are at Musings on Fantasia and LKHill. Happy Friday! :D
ReplyDeleteI was a complete Twi-hard! At least until the forth book came along. Oddly enough with Breaking Dawn, I decided I didn't love a happy ending! I kept wanting someone to die! A touch sadistic, maybe?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, good choice! I'm a new follower, Hooray!
Stopping by with My FF!
Happy Friday!
I was wondering when I'm going to see this answer. YES! The series was OK but I don't get the hype.
ReplyDeleteOld follower stopping by.
ReplyDeleteThis is my pick too!

Paranormal Romance
I read the series and now I think the same. Although it's more negative like dear god why did I read this?! And I know it's the book that seemed to bring everyone over to the darkside where I've been reading for years, but I cannot say I am happy about the series either.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Follow Friday
Have a GREAT weekend!

I read the series and I really enjoyed it... when I was like 14. Now that I'm almost 22, I see all the flaws so openly and cringe that I was blind to them before! Bella is truly the worst heroine ever, but the book fits perfectly for all going through their 'teenage angst' age haha.

Here's my FF :)
I totally agree with you, I was very disappointed by this series but I confess I read them all. Yeah I didn't lose hope.

I've seen Twilight on a few blogs today. I didn't hate Twilight, but I can see why it left people a little disappointed. But I can also see how people were so caught up in the story. I think right now it is a bit trendy to hate twilight, so I am trying not to jump on that bandwagon. At the same time, it is not a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteThe Twilight Series was my choice too... so I can't complain at all XD

Ok, so I agree with you about Twilight. However, that being said, I did get caught up in the hype. I read all the books and saw all the movies (with all my other 40+ mom friends) We had such a hoot - we were on Team Charlie! lol Doesn't that say it all? Anyways, the writing was not all that great - she just hit a good idea at the right time. Ah well...
ReplyDeleteSo glad you said Twilight, the hype was so crazy it was a complete turnoff, I never got past the first book.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to FF and your blog.
